Its been a while since a number of rumours have started making abuzz over the internet and tech magazines about the much expected Samsung Galaxy S6.
Now, rumours have it that the Galaxy S6 will exceptionally feature wireless charging facility. According to DDaily, Samsung will be releasing Galaxy S6 with a built-in wireless charging function for the first time in the world. The Korean news source has also published that the mobile phone and its built-in wireless charging facility will be unveiled at a “Samsung Unpacked” event in Barcelona, Spain on March 1 (local time).
Until now, smartphones need separate cases for wireless charging. The “Optimus LTE2” phone (photo), which was launched by LG Electronics in 2012, performed the wireless charging function but through a separate case offered with the phone.
If the rumours come out to be true, then the whole process of magnetic induction wireless charging can simply not function with an all-metal body of the mobile phone. The material acts as a formidable barrier for electromagnetic waves making the whole process impossible due to losses and even quite dangerous too.
This is definitely a new curve ball in the Galaxy S6 story, leaving even more room for speculation and doubt. And we are bound to get a few more of those before the official launch
