While we await the launch of HTC’s next flagship phone HTC Hima and its variants- HTC HIma Ace and HTC Hima Ultra at MWC Barcelona on March 1st, Upleaks has spilled the beans revealing that we may not get to see HTC Hima Ace afterall. Instead, says the reliable leakster, the Taiwanese company will replace the flagship variant with a high-end Desire smartphone dubbed A55, expected to launch as early as February.
Leaked a few months ago without much information,. HTC A55 will feature high-end features despite its mid-range Desire branding. According to Upleaks the smartphone will pack in a large 5.5 inch display with a Quad HD (1440 x 2560) pixels resolution and a pixel density of a whopping 534 ppi. It will be powered by a 64 bit octa-core MediaTek MT6795 processor clocked at 2.0GHz, backed with 3GB of RAM and an in-built storage of 32GB. The smartphone will run Android Lollipop clad in Sense 7.0 and will have signature HTC boomsound speakers on the front.
For shutterbugs, HTC A55 is expected to feature a 20 MP rear camera with LED flash, complemented with a 13MP or a 4MP Ultrapixel camera at the front. The smartphone will come in gray, brown gold, and white rose gold color variants and is expected to launch in two variants- A55#UL for Europe and dual SIM A55#DTUL for Asia in Feb 2015.
